Activity of the Resource Center for Elderly involves all northern and Osh and Talas oblasts.

Mission of the Resource Center – to promote formation of favorable environment that provide protection and promotion of interests of the elderly people, life quality, institutional development, promotion of civil initiative and fair national policy towards the older generation of Kyrgyzstan.

In the frame of the realization of this mission the organization conducts an activity on implementation of 7 strategic aims developed by the center of Program “7 steps to dignified ageing”:   

1. To promote the improvements of the system, which will enable access to basic and legal services
2. To raise awareness of the public about the problems of older people through strengthening communication platforms, networks, development and joint information resources
3. To develop and introduce into the practice of older peoples’ organizations social standards and services taking into account the best practices of international gerontology and geriatric services
4. To strengthen the capacity and organizational sustainability of SHGs and Federations of SHGs
5. To support civil society initiatives and innovations aimed at creating favorable environment for older peoples’ livelihood
6. To promote security of older people’s life environment in target communities
7. To strengthen RCE through organizational development and capacity building

Year 2009 is the first year of implementation of Program “7 steps to dignified ageing” and conducting of the relevant fundamental activities under the Program.  Together with the target group there were developed and implemented methodologies and technologies on tasks performance, introduced all necessary innovations at this time of realization. Strengthening and activation of communications on issues of support for elderly people with the core government structures – Social Security Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, Social Fund, etc.  Transparency issues and mechanism of realization of the low on social order, coordination of preparation of the civil society for a pension reform problem issues became a field of the partnership.
