This conference addresses two of the biggest challenges facing humanity this century: population aging and global warming. They are inextricably linked because older adults are among the most vulnerable to the direct and indirect effects of climate change on health. Currently, gaps exist in research, planning, policy and practice.

The charity "Dobroe Delo" (Moscow, Russia) has launched a new
volunteer project: an international
literary-artistic almanac of creative work by the elderly. Colleagues in
various countries have expressed support for the idea and their desire to take
part in the project.

On 17 April 2010 at 09:00 in the premises of Historical Museum there was held   Extraordinary Forum of organizations of civil society of Kyrgyzstan. Goal of meeting was elaborating of position of organizations of civil society on current situation and understanding of the prospects of development of country in the conditions of crisis situation.

PU «Resource Centre for Elderly» under financial support of Asia Universal Bank issued grant to elderly people of Talas city for purchasing of seeding potato.

Main goal of the project is supporting elderly and old pensioners with further prospects of sustainable increasing of the level of life in cases of good harvest for 3-4 years ahead.

As before the important aspect is still helping health care facilities, which need big list of drugs, support of experienced psychologists, lawyers and conflictologists is needed. At the extraordinary meeting of the club of leaders of NGOs there was created Committee on emergency situations.
